Panama City, FL Inshore And Offshore Fishing

Report Date: June 5, 2013

Inshore:

Well opening day of Snapper season finally got here and it was too rough for us to get offshore to fish that morning. That's why you should always have a backup plan. So instead of Snapper fishing we caught Speckled Trout and lots of them. We broke out the trout rods and started throwing Cajun Thunders with Gulp shrimp and got an instant response from the hungry trout. I also tied on a couple of my old standby Mirror lures and we immediately started catching 18 "to 23" trout one after another. We ended up keeping 14 nice trout.

Offshore:

The Snapper are chewing the bottom out of the boat. Just about every near shore spot has snapper on it. We are catching Red Snapper, Lane Snapper, Vermillion and lots of White Snapper. There are still lots of Amber Jack to keep you busy after you get your Snapper limit. We have also caught Cobia, King Mackerel, Chicken Dolphin and even a Triple Tail.

Panama City Fishing Forecast:

Lots of Snapper, Kings and Jacks Offshore; Trout and Reds Inshore.

Good luck on the water,
